Created from reclaimed 100-year-old wood from an old flax mill in Oregon, the barn doors create a rustic background for ceremonies.

Natural jute rugs and wood lanterns lead the happy couple to the chapel and after the ceremony, couples can ring the old farm bell.

Officiants:

Ye Olde Sasquatch

The ease of a Las Vegas elopement in the heart of the Alberta Arts District in Portland, Oregon. Our great friend Sasquatch is happy to officiate weddings and also available for blessings and vow renewals.

Star Wars

I’m a Stormtrooper that has deserted the empire, on my travels across the galaxy I have come to believe in the force. I’m doing elopements to save enough credits to move off the planet before my location be discovered.

The Big Lebowski

This ceremony will really pull your future lives together. Rev Dude abides to make you guys official man. We work on the Shabbos and we are happy to toast you with white Russians once you are husband and wife.

Traditional

The traditional (but not religious) ceremony that is the perfect blend of sincerity and fun.

What People Are Saying

Guest: That officiant was really good, so professional, but funny too, where did you find him?

Bride: We know him

Guest: Oh you already heard about him, great

Bride: No, he has been a friend of mine for years, this is his first time as a officiant, we asked him if he’d do it as we knew he would be great

— Marissa (Bride) Wedding July 2017

“Roger was the best officiant we could have had at our wedding. We were so busy with the wedding we hadn’t given much time to the officiants speech, he knew our love of the Big Lebowski and put a spin on that for his part. His monologue was so creative and had the whole crowd laughing hysterically. We had no idea what he was going to say and he completely blew us away. The amount of preparation and care he put into it was really amazing. we highly recommend Roger for your Portland Elopement”

Rob (groom) Wedding October 2019

“I have never seen him so serious before for the important bits of the ceremony, but then would make us laugh a moment later, the perfect balance of fun and sincerity”

Christie (Bride) August 2018

Ye Olde Chapel featured:

NW Wedding Underground

The beautiful photographs featured on this site were created by Crystal Genes Photography during a photoshoot held in September of 2022. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to see how the chapel could be used in tandem with outside vendors. Flowers by Alana designed stunning flowers for the chapel, brides bouquet and the cake table capturing the fall colors, Gretchen at NW21 Salon provided hair and make-up for the bride, Bite Me Cookies and Treats made a scrumptious cake and macaroons and Setting The Table provided tableware to present the cake and toasting glasses.

Jesse and Erin were great sports getting “married” three times for the photography session!
